The Greetwell Plate: February

February 28, 2026

Finally, the frost is starting to lift and we’re seeing the first small signs of spring. Here’s a look at what Greetwell has served up this month.

We were delighted to once again be part of Care Home Magazine through our sponsorship of Care Home of the Month. A big congratulations to KYN Bickley on being named Care Home of the Month 👏

We’re also proud to share that our very own Connor Puttock sits on the committee for the National Association of Care Catering (NACC) Midlands Region.

This month, Connor attended the executive committee meeting and has been helping organise events for the year ahead. Supporting care catering professionals and contributing to conversations around nutrition, food service and operational challenges is something we’re passionate about, and we’re looking forward to what’s coming up in 2026.

February has continued to be a strong month for:

  • Ongoing cost benchmarking
  • Reviewing supplier performance
  • Supporting homes with sustainable savings strategies

As we move closer to the new financial year, now is a great time for homes to review contracts and ensure pricing remains competitive.

Key dates for March:

20th March – First Day of Spring Seasonal menu refresh, lighter dishes and fresh ingredients can help mark the change in season.

Recent News:

Our recent news post focuses on food inflation as it continues to be a key pressure point as we move through early 2026. While some categories have stabilised, others remain volatile due to ongoing supply chain challenges, global market shifts and rising production costs.
