The Greetwell Plate: July
My, my, what a July! As we step into the height of summer and school holidays, July has brought everything you’d expect from a proper English summer. Sunshine and rain in the same day! While it’s been a quieter month for us, there’s still plenty to celebrate and look forward to.
We had the pleasure to support our friends at PJ Care at the Midlands Chef of the Year competition, hosted by the National Association Of Care Catering (NACC) ). Well done to all the competitors and a shout out to Jack Baker, who took home ‘Best Main’ of the day!
This year’s Annual Lincolnshire Care Association Conference brought together care professionals from across the county to focus on resilience and excellence in the sector. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with so many people and we are proud to be part of such a forward-thinking community.
Any donation, big or small would be greatly appreciated! 🏊🚴🏃

Some good news stories!
☀️ Sunlight has generated more electricity in Europe than any other source, for the first time ever. Solar generation was ahead of nuclear, wind, gas and coal in June!
🦜 Six blue-and-yellow macaws are gracing the skies of São Simão, in Brazil’s southeastern São Paulo state, after more than five decades of local extinction.
💧 A Reservoir in Northamptonshire has doubled in fresh water species over the past two years thanks to landowners and farmers helping to manage and create new ponds.
Enjoy the sunshine and stay tuned for more updates next month. Until then, have a brilliant August!
