We’ve been keeping some exciting news under wraps… and now we can finally share it! Greetwell Purchasing Solutions is officially a Certified B Corporation®. We are joining a global movement of over 9,000 companies across 90 countries committed to using business as a force for good. A B Corp™ meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability, with infamous names like Patagonia, Too Good To Go, and Rituals.

The assessment process is intense, led by non-profit, B Lab, making sure you’re meeting the highest levels of social and environmental performance. Businesses are assessed across five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment and customers. The median score for an ordinary business is 50.9 but you need 80 points to certify. And we got just that on our first application!

Managing Director, Steve Gibson, says:

Sustainability isn’t new to us, as we have worked hard to support global initiatives like 1% for the Planet and becoming carbon neutral. Our goal has always been to deliver value further than just our services. Becoming a B Corp™ is just another step in holding ourselves accountable and showing partners, clients and the community that we are serious about making a difference.

As for what’s next?

The B Corp™ status will be reassessed in three years, and during that time we aim to improve our score through greater community engagement and exploring sustainable energy solutions. We hope this accreditation sets a benchmark for companies to understand and make a change. Working closely with supply chains, notably a big issue in talk of climate, we hope to pave the way for change.
